The Hike
First time to the Fells since June! Christien and I were meeting for a lowkey hike and to talk shop a bit. We parked at the Flynn Rink and explored the areas around Quarter Mile Pond and Spot Pond Reservoir. Quarter Mile Pond was lackluster and drying up, but Spot Pond was absolutely stunning. We walked up to the boat dock before turning around and finding a spot to sit for a long talk along the reservoir's southern edge. Bugs weren't too bad, and as the sun began to set the fish began to leap out of the water to catch bugs, which was really fun to see! We sat for over an hour and had some hard conversations, but it was a perfect venue for it. We hiked out around 6:00 and I was home by 7:00!
